01 · Basic info

IAI 1125 Astra

Development of the Westwind II combining its fuselage and tail with a new high-speed swept wing mounted low on the fuselage, giving about 8 in more cabin headroom, and a longer nose. The prototype first flew on 19 March 1984 and the first customer delivery took place in mid-1986 after certification in August 1985. It was replaced in production by the Astra SP, announced in 1989.
