The Model 525 CitationJet is a light jet that pairs the Citation II forward fuselage with a new laminar-flow wing, a T-tail and two Williams FJ44-1A turbofans, and is certified for single-pilot operation. It first flew on April 29, 1991, received FAA certification on October 16, 1992 and was first delivered on March 30, 1993. Serial numbers 0001 to 0359 are marketed as the CitationJet, after which the CJ1 followed.
