01 · Basic info

Beechcraft Beechjet 400

Light business jet produced by Beechcraft after it bought the rights to the Mitsubishi Diamond II in December 1985, re-engined with Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5 turbofans and fitted with a new interior. It was FAA certified as the Beechjet 400 in May 1986 and deliveries began that year. About 65 were built, including the original Diamond IIs, before it was replaced by the Beechjet 400A from 1990.
